SMA905 Cosine Corrector
The Thunder Optics SMA905 Cosine Corrector is a compact optical accessory designed for spectral irradiance and light measurement applications. Its PTFE diffuser provides a near-Lambertian response, allowing light to be collected over a wide field of view and coupled into an SMA905 optical system.
The cosine corrector is available in three configurations:
Cosine M – Male
Male SMA905 configuration for direct connection to compatible optical components.
Cosine F – Female
Female SMA905 configuration providing the complementary connection geometry for flexible integration into spectroscopy setups.
Cosine Duo – Male + Female
Includes both Cosine M and Cosine F, providing maximum flexibility for laboratory, educational, and experimental setups.
Interchangeable PTFE Diffuser
A distinctive feature of the Thunder Optics design is its interchangeable PTFE diffuser system. Each Cosine Corrector is supplied with five interchangeable PTFE diffuser discs of different thicknesses, allowing the diffuser configuration to be adapted to different measurement requirements.
Included PTFE diffuser thicknesses: 0.1 / 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.4 / 0.5 mm.
The Cosine Corrector body consists of two precision-machined black-anodized aluminium parts, allowing the PTFE diffuser disc to be easily replaced.
